You Become Confident

One of the best benefits of quitting porn is the redevelopment of your confidence, porn by design makes people feel inadequate. We can’t help but compare ourselves to other people, whether it’s our friends, colleagues, or strangers, we’ll silently be making comparisons. This can have a very negative effect when you end up comparing yourself to porn stars.

Male porn stars are chosen for their larger endowment and their ability to last longer. If you compare yourself to them in your head you’re inadvertently telling yourself you’re not good enough. You won’t even realize that’s it’s happening as you won’t be putting yourself in a position to meet real people.

Your insecurity will build up inside and you won’t approach a potential partner in real life. In your head, you’ll be comparing yourself to the men in porn and talk yourself out of it before you even try. Becoming more confident is an amazing benefit of quitting porn and it’ll affect much more in your life than just sex and relationships.

You Will Be More Attracted to People

Porn fulfills a base desire for sexual gratification, if you’re watching too much porn and masturbating you’ll have less desire for other people. There are thousands of porn actors and actresses in plenty of different scenarios that could turn you on. If you’re excessively watching porn then you’ll notice other people less and you’ll find others less attractive.

Real people have flaws and it’s those flaws that can really differentiate people and make them beautiful. Another of these benefits of quitting porn is that your attraction towards other people will increase. You’ll find yourself attracted to and turned on by the way people look, smile, move, smell, talk and so much more.

People Will Be More Attracted To You

On the flip side of the above point, you’ll become more attractive to other people. Porn disincentivizes people, as you get your sexual gratification from your computer or phone screen, you’ll have less reason to make an effort with your appearance. There’s less reason to go to the gym, buy nice clothes, or groom yourself properly, porn doesn’t care what you look like.

Once you’ve quit porn you’ll find yourself more inclined to look good, therefore becoming more attractive to others. Another of the top benefits of quitting porn is the boost to your self-confidence which will also make you more attractive to other people.

Sex Will Be Better

There is a link between excessive porn use and finishing quicker, by giving up porn you can last longer in bed. You’ll also no longer have lofty expectations about what things should and shouldn’t look like, or what people should and shouldn’t be able to do. Sex in porn is not meant to feel good, it’s only supposed to look good. Wanting to mimic the actors in porn is only going to lead to dissatisfaction and disappointment.

You’ll have longer-lasting and harder erections when in bed (or elsewhere) with your partner. Performance anxiety will disappear as you stop comparing yourself to the people in porn. In general, your desire for sex will increase and your ability in bed will improve, and one of the most important benefits of quitting porn is avoiding porn-induced erectile dysfunction.

No More Porn Induced Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is the medical term used to describe when your penis can’t get erect, or it can’t sustain an erection. It’s very common among porn addicts that their penis can’t get hard in real-life sexual situations. By watching porn you’re unwittingly training your brain to get stimulated under certain conditions, by yourself, on a screen, and no touching.

You need to resensitize your brain to proper sexual situations and stimulations. When you can’t get hard, it can be embarrassing for you and your partner, who might blame themselves, when it’s actually porn’s fault.

Consider giving up porn today and you’ll realize these top benefits of quitting porn after just a few short weeks.

I am on no-fap but on 79th day I unfortunately relapsed. Also, during this period I am getting morning wood(at-least daily) but NO random boners.
Is it curable? Am I on the edge of no-coming back to my natural self?

    1. Personally, I don’t agree with the NoFap movement (at least not entirely). More importantly I don’t think it can serve as a way to deal with PIED long-term, specially in such severe cases. From my own experience and the many cases I’ve studied, it takes a much more active approach from the individual to obtain a faster and better recovery.
However, regarding your question you should know that PIED is always curable. Luckily for us humans, our brains have the ability to change their behaviour in response to external stimuli. So don’t worry, you will go back to that previous state eventually if you do things right.
